January 1, 2009 – The local chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources has elected new officers. This group includes professionals from leading local employers and several local business owners.

The local officers are:

Vice President of Administration - Kisha Dickerson, PHR

Vice President of Communications - Joel Howell, PHR

VP of Finance - Yvonne Smith

VP of Membership - Cilicia (CC) Prince, CSP, PHR

VP of Programs – Lovese Purifoy, SPHR

What is NAAAHR?

Our Purpose
The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources is a national organization concerned with improving the professional development of African American Human Resources professionals, consultants, and students.

Our Focus
Is to serve as a network, resource, and forum for African American Human Resource professionals.  The Tampa Bay Chapter was chartered in September 2000 and is comprised of Human Resources professionals in both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
The Tampa Bay Chapter is positioning itself to become the recognized leader, voice, and conscience shaping issues that concern African Americans in the workplace.

To provide a local forum where Human Resource Practitioners can share information, gain knowledge, and provide leadership on issues affecting career development and the quality of work life.
